Yard Yakker is led and managed by Sharnell, who oversees all scheduling, client communication and service delivery across the business.
From regular lawn mowing and hedge trimming through to garden tidy ups, gutter cleaning and exterior house washing, she ensures every service is delivered to a consistent standard.
Sharnell places strong emphasis on reliability, clear scope and professional conduct. Whether coordinating ongoing maintenance plans or preparing properties between tenants or for new occupants, her focus is simple: confirm the job clearly, complete it properly and maintain the same standard every visit.

Meet some of our team
When you book Yard Yakker, there’s a good chance Taylor will be the person turning up at your gate.
Taylor brings several years of hands-on property, grounds and vegetation maintenance experience from both New Zealand and Australia. Before joining Yard Yakker, he worked as a Field Operations & Team Leader with Tauranga City Council, leading teams responsible for maintaining parks, reserves, tracks, roadsides and public open spaces.
His experience covers lawn mowing and grounds maintenance, vegetation management, planting, weed control, property maintenance and exterior house washing. He is trained across chainsaw operation, Growsafe, LUV and 4WD operation, traffic management, First Aid and Fire Safety, and holds the NZ Certificate in Primary Industries Operational Skills.
Just as importantly, Taylor is reliable, practical and takes pride in doing a job properly. He understands the importance of looking after someone else’s property with the same care and respect you’d give your own.
Outside work, Taylor enjoys travelling and hiking, surfing when he gets the chance, playing squash, and spending time with his fiancée and their three dogs.
